Using A Sidecar To Get Back On The Road As A Paraplegic Rider
This Gentleman in New Zealand has developed a system and would like to share with us his progress.
Paraplegic Brett Ladbrook shows us his adapted motorbike with a sidecar, how he mounts it, stores his wheelchair, rides for fun and freedom, and the modified controls that make riding with a spinal cord injury possible.
Brett:
I do have a video coming up at some stage. I work for the NZ Spinal Trust in Christchurch NZ and we have just been putting these videos out there once a week. https://nzspinaltrust.org.nz/wheeliegoodtips/ Bike hasn’t changed since the article apart from more ks on it. Got photos of trips ect on my Instagram page @cheezeitfry and do have a series of build photos on my FB page
Just done a video for work, NZ Spinal Trust and thought you may like to have a look.
Shows how the bikes set up and how everything works for me on it.
Kind regards
